What should I do?

I came to a slight problem when I was baking the individual cakes for my mom's birthday. We had 4 ramekins but the recipe called for 8. I came up with the idea of making them as mini cupcakes. My mom got a large one and several small cakes. She said she liked the bigger one, but she also said that it was great to have both kinds on the plate.
