Does it dupe us all?

Potatoes Au Gratin by Once Upon a Chef
We all have that dish that we absolutely love. It most likely is from our favorite restaurant to eat at. We obviously can't have this dish at all times because we do not have a recipe to make the dish. The restaurant does not release these recipes because they may lose customers from doing that. Luckily, we have kind people on the internet that try to make dupes of amazing recipes. The only question is, does it dupe us all?

I would like to just say before we start this post that this recipe is not made to be a dupe for the real dish, but it is the same dish.

It is scary to try anything new not just in food, but you really do not want a dish to not work out after all the time and effort you put in the dish. You can look at the reviews and see what other people thought about it or you could just try it out and use trial and error to figure out the perfect dupe for the dish you love.

My parents love a certain dish from a certain restaurant, and they too were on a hunt to find a recipe that was a good dupe for one of their favorite dishes. They soon found a dish that they wanted to make to see how it compared to the real dish.

The dish that they love is Potatoes Au Gratin. they found a recipe on Once Upon a Chef. They thought that it could be a good dish to try out, so they printed out the recipe and got to work.

This is the mandoline that we own by Cuisinart.
The dish is not the easiest to make because you have to cut the potatoes very thinly. We have a tool called a mandoline. This tool can be used to cut many different things including potatoes, peppers, and onions. This tool really made the dish easier to make, so I recommend that you invest in a mandoline because it is very handy in the kitchen. You have to be very careful with both a knife and a mandoline. They are both very sharp and could cut your finger. Ours came with a glove, and I recommend using the glove to ensure you are not eating this meal with one less finger.

If we put the high risk of cutting your finger off to the side, the dish was great. My parents believe that this dish is a great dupe for the real dish. They have already made it multiple times because they love it so much. I would say that this dish definitely duped us all.

Please comment down below if I should start a series of testing dupes. Also please comment dupes you want me to test or dupes you have tested and share your thoughts.Lastly, do not forget to subscribe to the blog for email updates, and follow the blog.
