GAP Teen: Trendy and Eco-friendly?

Happy #beautifulsunday!! This is a new hashtag that I will be using on this blog and all my other platforms. This includes by Instagram and Twitter both @alainnblog. On this beautiful Sunday, we are going to be talking a little about fashion.

Fashion is something that many people love. It is a great way to express yourself and shows others who you are as a person. The sad part is that fashion is harder for someone based on their size. People who do not have the "ideal" body type have trouble finding clothes that they want to wear or keep up with the trends.

People who may be a little larger than the "ideal" body type have trouble finding clothes. I have noticed this from watching videos about fashion. They want to be able to find clothes that make them feel beautiful and follow the trends. From these videos people say that at plus sized stores a lot of clothes are very modest because they assume that they want to cover up. These stores should not assume what people want and should have a range of styles like the other stores have. If someone who has the "ideal" body type has a range of styles and selection, so should everyone else.

On the other hand, there are people like me who are very short and tiny. I am unable to fit into clothes from the junior's or women's section. I may get lucky with an XS in the junior's section, but that is a very rare occurrence. This makes it very hard for me to find clothes that are trendy and something that I want to wear.

When I go shopping, I really struggle to find clothes that are cute. Most of the clothes that I find have unicorns and sparkles. Personally, these are not things that I would end up wearing.

I always go on a store's websites and click on the "big" kid's section, which is just the larger sizes in the kid's section. I expect to see clothes that are for kids around that age, but I end up finding the same clothes that are for the smaller kids. I understand that there are taller kids who may need a larger size, which is why there should be a range of sizes in each style to accommodate for everyone. After shopping, I am always left to wonder why it is so hard to make trendy clothes for young girls who are smaller.

I have had some luck at some stores, but have never been very impressed. I have still been on a hunt for a store that has trendy clothes in kid's sizes.

This hunt was ended a few days ago. I was on my phone going from store to store trying to look for a plain white tank top. I ended up on the gap website, I went to go look in the girls' section when I saw a tab labeled, New! Teen. I knew that I had to click on it and check it out. I thought that I was going to be disappointed again, but I was not. They have cute trendy clothes that actually come in my size. I was amazed at this and was so excited.

As of right now, the section is very limited because it is new, and they are running very low on clothes. They have very limited quantities, and only the smaller sizes are mostly left. I am very excited to shop this section when the restock or add more clothes to the collection.

The clothes are obviously cute, but there is something even more amazing about them. The line is Eco-friendly. The pieces in the collection were made to reduce waste and save water. They launched the line on Earth day, and here are some of the pieces.

The last item that I will be talking about is these denim shorts. These shorts are called teen black denim shorts. These shorts are in black wash. They are on sale for $24.00, but have a regular price of $39.95. These shorts look very cute as well with the distressed and cuffed bottoms. These shorts are also high waisted, which is trendy at the moment. This item is 100% cotton.

I was reading some of the reviews and they complain a lot about the sizing. I would recommend that you use the tool that they have available to find your size. Do not just get a size that you usually get because this is a different line and may run differently in sizing. They have a tool where you put in a store and the size you wear there. They use this information to match you up with a size that fits you from their store. I think that this tool is very helpful for finding the right fit.

These clothes are all cute and trendy, but also help us save the Earth. The sad thing is that due to the pandemic Gap may go out of business. They were struggling to stay open because they were unable to open their stores at the beginning of the pandemic. They have now opened up some stores, but I am not sure if they have bounced back. I hope that they do because this line that they started on Earth Day is adorable and good for the planet that we live on.

Comment down below if you know any other stores that have a line like this, if you found this helpful, or if you have bought anything from Gap teen. Thank you all for your support, and please follow my blog and my socials @alainnblog.
